LA receives: Karl Anthony Towns + Taj Gibson = ($21.84M)

MIN receives: Brandon Ingram + Mo Wagner + Loul Deng + '19 1st rd pick = ($25.5M)

LA gets their young Center of the future in KAT, while also providing a boost to this year's defense with Taj Gibson on an expiring contract. They also free up enough cap space (~$4.7M) to sign Wayne Ellington to a 1 year contract, which will help bolster the shooting around Lebron. Min. seems to be reluctant giving Towns the max. They get youth + picks as comp.

LA: (SF)Kawhi Leonard + (C)Tyson Chandler

SAS: (SG)Brandon Ingram + (PF)Kyle Kuzma + (SG)Josh Hart + (C)Dragan Bender + (PF)Jared Dudley

PHX: (PG)Lonzo Ball + (C) Ivac Zubac + Loul Deng + LA 2019 1st round pick

LA gives up the farm but for good reason. THEY DUMP LUOL DENG'S CONTRACT + obtain Kawhi Leonard's BIRD RIGHTS. Now, they free up enough cap for an additional supermax contract in next year's free agency AND can go over the cap to extend Leonard. They also fill an immediate need at Center with Tyson Chandler who will help Lebron compete this year and just so happens to have a convenient expiring contract ^_

A pick and Hart for Melo? Hell no. Keep Hart and move/ stretch Deng next year.

Love the concept but hate Kevin Love. FK Kevin Love! He can kick rocks and regret not bottling Lebron's ball sweat in a pickle jar for the rest of his life. Soft ass

Butler isn't a champion either. I'd rather have Klay Thompson over Butler all day er day. Kawhi, Lebron, Thompson. yes sir. Ball, Ingram, Kuzma and their "could-be potential" can all go start a backstreet boy band and battle rap over who has the most daddy issues for all I give sht. Just remember Kyle Boller had potential once. that's right, Kyle Boller had potential too.

So what exactly does San Antonio get out of it? A 1 year rental for Butler? Then he bails in the summer to New York with Kyrie? Hell no.

The thing about Leonard is this. You can have him RIGHT NOW if you give it all up. Think about it. 1 year with Magic in his ear 24/ 7/ 365 whispering sweet nothings in his ear about him becoming the next LA Legend, putting the Lakers on his back for the rest of career, delivering championships for his HOME team. OR. risk 50/ 50 chance of him signing elsewhere next year and losing out on him like they did with PG. Meanwhile, Jerry West and the Clippers are clearing out contracts left and right and are now in position to have enough cap space next summer for TWO max contracts. I like Kuzma and all but FA#K potential the Lakers have Lebron. The time is now or never. Give up the farm for Leonard. Sign a max free agent next year and let's ball out with Bron for the next 3 years and compete for titles.

That simple.
