Lakers keep the pick and draft Ball.

Trade:
Lakers get: Brook Lopez

Nets get: 28th overall Pick, Clarkson, and Mozgof

Starting Lineup:
PG: Ball
SG: Russell
SF: Ingram
PF: Randle
C: Lopez

Not much but it's a start in the right direction and gives more cap flexibility for next season

I agree with this because Magic wants to spend in 2018:
Paul George and Cousins.
Lopez is a free agent next season and Lakers unload Mozgov's contract, however I would try to keep JC. For Lopez, Lakers can offer the 28th pick, Brewer, and Moz.

Next season Lakers sign George and Cousins

Lonzo
Russell
Ingram
George
Cousins.

I would love to keep Clarkson but I doubt a late first round pick is enough to get Brooklyn to give away their only decent player in Lopez and take a bad contract. Everything else you said about Cousins and George is spot on though if they're both willing to come.

Lakers aren't giving up Clarkson in a Lopez deal. He doesn't have much trade value. You will be shocked this summer with the final offer the Nets receive for Lopez.

They only wanted two 1 round draft picks they can get from is only the 28 pick and next year 2 round pick.

Lakers, Kings Trade

Lakers Get:
Rudy Gay and 2017 2nd Round Pick

Kings Get:
Deng and 28th Overall Pick

Rudy Gay has an expiring contact and is coming off injury so price should be low. Deng gives veteran leadership to a young Kings team plus they get an extra 1st rounder

He can also opt out of his contract. If a team like Dallas was willing to give Wesley Mathews big money after he had the same injury, I don't see why a team won't offer Rudy Gay a similar deal. Plus he wants out of sac.

3 Team Blockbuster Trade between Denver, Sacramento, and LA:

Denver:
2nd Overall Pick (LAL), Nick Young (LAL), Jordan Hill (LAL), Darren Collison (SAC)

Sacramento:
Ty Lawson (DEN), Kenneth Faried (DEN), Clarkson (LAL), 27th Overall Pick (LAL), One of Denver's 2016 1st Round Picks (DEN)

LA:
7th Overall Pick (DEN), Cousins (SAC), Wilson Chandler (DEN)

Denver gets to commit to a full rebuild with Towns/Okafor, free up a lot of cap space, receive solid players in Hill and Collison and scoring off the bench in Young which should at the very least help contribute in some way while they rebuild.

Sacramento gets to reunite George Karl with 2 of his favorite players who best fit his system, receive 2 additional 1st round picks as well as keep their own pick which they could use to draft a center to replace Cousins like Willie Cauly Stein, and add a young proven player in Clarkson who could come off the bench for both guard spots.

LA gets their next great center in Cousins as well as a solid defensive wing player in Chandler. With the 7th pick, the Lakers can pick up someone like Winslow, Stanley Johnson, or even Mudiay if he falls past the Knicks and the Magics. Plus they'll still have enough to add 1 or 2 mid-level free agents.

2 Potential LA Lineups
Dream Lineup:
C: Cousins
PF: Randle
SF: Chandler
SG: Kobe
PG: Rondo (1 year deal)
***Mudiay comes off the bench leads the second unit as he adjusts to the NBA

Realistic Lineup:
C: Cousins
PF: Randle
SF: Winslow
SG: Kobe
PG: Rondo
***Chandler comes off the bench

Chandler's cheap expiring contract also sets us up nicely to go for Durant next year and complete the lineup as we move on to the Post-Kobe Era.

I like your idea
but I like Clarkson. Losing #2,#34, #27 picks + YOUNG, HILL, KELLY, SACRE, BLUE and maybe BROWN should be enough to get Cousins and Wilson.

2.) 07 Jun 2015 03:15:18
This deal makes no sense. The salaries of Faried and Lawson don't offset what's going out + this deal doesn't make the Lakers better. Mark my words the #2 pick is better than Demarcus Cousins.
