LAL-NETS trade

Nets get Clakson, Mozgov, and the 28th pick

Lakers get Brook Lopez

The Nets get young talent for their ongoing rebuild.

The Lakers dump Mozgov's big contract.

Lopez's contract comes off the book at the end of the season and can clear almost 60 million of cap space for the all important 2018 free agency class.

Would PG13 want to play with a guy like Cousins? I think so.

this is a reply to the reply to my previous post
the bulls do this to protect themselves form their own often injured big man. they can give each a bit more rest and allow them to stay healthy (all three bigs) and play at a higher level at their older ages (gasol, boozer) a la tim duncun (and we've seen the success that that has had this year)

ok everyone needs to stop this sign and trade howard to Houston nonscence. Howard can't sign for more and ge traded to hou. he can only get what they would be able to offer him anyway, so why would they give up talented pieces of a team when they have no reason to. just to help the lakers?? come on now guys use your brains and stop dreaming.

one scenario
lakersbulls

lakers get deng, hamilton, teague and belinelli (via sign and trade to even money out)

bulls get gasol, blake, and clark (sign and trade. will be due more money after last season so money will match)

lakers dump pau's contract and get the athletic sf they have been looking for as well as a veteran sg in hamilton who can hold down the position until kobe gets back

bulls get BIG which will allow them to roll most teams in the east as well as give rose some peace of mind that he doesn't need to keep the quick athletic guards in front of him on defense knowing he has the great wall behind him. also they get a proven back up point for rose (if u never watched blake in portland, u saw what he could do the last couple games of the season when kobe went down)seeing as they probably won't have the cap room to resign robinson. also clark gives them a promising back up 3 to butler who they are so high on and a big body to take gasol and boozers place once their contracts are up respectively. they never used hamilton and gets his contact off the books
amnesty metta, because it must be used this year
waive duhan to clear cap room

sign either brand or blair or tolliver for an extra big

push hard to try and sign korver (cross your fingers because it propbably won't happen which is why they get belinelli as insurance)

a realistic line up of the lakers

nash, morris (resign), teague
hamilton, belinell, (kobe once back)
deng, (pray for korver), either tolliver or ebanks
(blair or brand), hill, tolliver
howard (resign), hill

money matches up and both teams get most of what they want, but not everything they want

bigstexe

1.) Why would Bulls want Gasol when Boozer gives them similar production? And don't say it is because Gasol's contract ends, because so does Deng's contract.

2.) So the Bulls have Gasol, Boozer, Gipson, and Noah! To much money for bench players!

This is exactly what the Lakers should do during the offseason. clears up enough cap space to give max contracts to both PG13 and Cousins.

pg- Fox or Smith jr.
sg- russell
sf-PG13
Pf-nance jr
c-cousins

bench-clarkson, ingram, vucevic

This team contends.
