Lakers have the opportunity to build something epic. Trade Ball for the six or 7th pick. With the 4th pick, can't pass on Garland. Pair him with Hunter or Reddish and you have your backcourt of the future. If we really wanna get creative, #6 and Ingram could get us 8, 10, 17 and 35. Reddish should be there at 8. Kabengele at 10, Herro at 17 Carsen Edwards at 35....Before free agency, you can look like

Garland/Edwards
Reddish/Hart
James/Herro
Kuzma
Kabengele

Resign Rondo, McGee, KCP

Add some glue guys and Lakers are set after the Lebron era

This may seem strange BUT is it possible for the Lakers to trade LBJ? Hear me out...The Lakers are on the verge to lose more games than they did last year. They have Ingram, Ball, Hart, Kuzma and a max slot coming open......
Could a team like Denver, that "should " be in "win now" mode next season send Harris, Porter Jr, Barton, Hernangomez and an unprotected 1st to LA for Lebron?
I'm a Laker fan BTW... That's something that a star free agent can buy into. Let's say we can swing for Durant and Thompson ....

Ball/
Thompson/Harris/Barton
Kuzma/Ingram
Durant/Porter Jr
Hernangomez

With all those assets, you could possibly find a trade partner for that 3rd star.

This comment goes out to everybody who suggest the Lakers trade Lebron James. Yes the Lakers can trade him but they won't trade him especially not now or without him requesting a trade. If the Lakers were to trade him he would just retire. This is Lebron James. He isn't going to play for a team he didn't request or sign with.

Cavs Lakers

Lebron for Clarkson, Deng, Ingram, Randle and 1st Rd DP.

Lakers have:
Ball, Ennis
KCP, Blue
Lebron, Nance, Brewer
Kuzma,
Lopez, Bogut

Not to mention the cap space to sign 2 max contracts with Lebron already on the roster: Boogie and PG13?????

Cavs can go into rebuild mode immediately. Waive Deng and find new homes for anyone else who's name isn't Love, Korver, Thompson or Thomas That Lakers pick would be 14-19, BK would be 1-5. I like that if I'm the Cavs.

Def not giving up Ingram. Randle clarksOn zu and 1st round picks . That’s it. They desperate. I am not giving up Ingram.

2.) 06 Nov 2017 15:49:13
Btw lakers don’t own pick. So can only give up future picks.

3.) 06 Nov 2017 16:20:28
Lebron James has a no trade clause and clearly stated he isn't getting trade. To include Ingram in a trade for a player the Lakers can get without giving up anybody isn't a smart move. People are so pushing to unload Deng's contract. Lakers can just stretch Deng at the end of the year and he's gone.

4.) 07 Nov 2017 20:05:41
Lebron needs to stay on the Cavs until the end of the season. not make the playoffs. rest, rest, rest. then sign with the Lakers. We keep all up and coming players and can sign PG13 or Boogie.

Lakers should keep LBJ, Monk, Nunn, Bradley and Melo. Everybody else on the table. Especially if it helps unloading Westbrook. Nunn hasn't played a second but his game and James game blend. Ir would remind people when he played with DWade. No matter what reasonable package you put together with the people that are not listed above, Lakers easily seeds in the top 4.

You were ok until you said "Lakers easily seeds in the top 4." Top 4 of what? Standings? Lakers can't defend and honestly its just too late. Melo plays zero defense. AD is injured. I doubt Nunn will get back in time to really make a difference. Lebron James takes off defensive plays. Lakers are losing a lot of games to bottom teams and blowing big leads to those teams. No matter what moves they make the Lakers will probably be somewhere in the 7th to 10th range which will be the play in tournament. Got to be realistic.

I feel the Lakers should not make a move. Hear me out....Key piece: Nunn. Move Westbrook to 6th man. Give him the full green light on the second unit. A lineup of.....
Nunn
Monk
Avery Bradley
Davis
James
.....should give teams hell if all 100% healthy.
Melo
THT
Westbrook
Reaves
And Howard should fill in nicely depending on rotational needs. I'll wait till next year to trade Westbrook. Contract more valuable as an expiring one. I can see a Lillard trade next year. Portland will rebuild and a Westbrook trade would keep them somewhat competitive and cap space is going to look lovely for the 23/24 season. Something to look forward to.

My take on the Harden situation: it shouldn't be one!!!! Let's look at the AD trade....The Lakers and the Pelicans made out good. BI was given an opportunity to grow...something that was impossible with Lebron, AD was the missing piece for the Lakers. Both teams paid a price and got what they paid for. In no way, shape or form will a team that trade for Harden get a missing piece that they desperately need without giving up a helluva lot more. Miami, BK, Philadelphia and Milwaukee can contend right now without Harden...and to make it so bad, whatever team gets him, actually wouldn't expand their chances much more if even. Just let it go. Build a rep on loyalty and just stay with the Rockets. Hopefully they'll give you that 50 piece offer again. Do yall need some pieces, sure, work with mgmt and try to figure it out as the season develop...I actually like the current roster better than last year's.
