This is the best the Lakers can do for Westbrook.
Cleveland receives: Russell Westbrook
Los Angeles receives: Kevin Love & Caris LeVert
Why?
Cleveland gambles on Westbrook. The plan would be to use him in a bench role.
Los Angeles unloads Westbrook without giving up any firsts or taking future salary. Win-win.

Why?
Lakers have a short championship window. They get two players that fit their roster.
Indiana gets two picks that have potential to be good.

Couple issue. First Lakers aren't giving up 2 first round picks just to trade Westbrook. They could wait for Irving next off season if the price is that steep. Second teams don't value Sexton that highly. The best offer he got was 3 years $39M. What he wants is 4 years $100M. He needs to step into reality and reduce his asking price.
