I think this trade makes a whole lot of sense. Jamal isn't horrible. i'm a Laker fan and i wanna see some good playoffs this year lol.

Lakers wouldn't take Crawford's contract. That means less money in free agency for defense. Paul Pierce would retire. He signed with the Clippers to be in the playoffs and play for Doc Rivers so that doesn't make sense. Chris Anderson has been traded already. Knicks don't want Shumpert.

I would rather keep Williams. Williams and Crawford are basically the same. And Williams has a better contract. Also Pierce would demand a buyout.
And as far as free speech that is as far as the government is concerned. But it also gives us the right to say this is not a good trade for the Lakers.

Summary
Lakers: Let it tank! Lou-Will in return for the experienced veterans in Pierce and Crawford to teach our players a lesson! More advice for the rooks and an easier path for our 2017 NBA draft pick to make room in the rotation. Solid knowledgable vets and some playing time for Crawford. And Calderon can leave also. Marcelo was here first.
Clippers: Finally a two way small forward for this team that is running out of time. A superteam has emerged and hopefully some playoff luck also. Coach loses his son :( and the his sixth man to save the bench from looking terrible (Wesley Johnson & Brandon Bass) but Felton has been playing great and deserves some safe backup PG minutes. Deandre Liggins and Chris Anderson are solid players on D and can make layups but that's about it. How can you complain though when you are getting a 9x NBA Allstar and former scoring champ? Star studded starting lineup ready to steal the WCF Title in hopefully less than seven games. Crossing my fingers.
Cavs: The Cavaliers have trained their young birds, Liggins, and Felder, for a good amount of time and now that they are tradable its time to set them free and cheap in another vet! Dunleavy-Korver swap was nice but still not enough to get spanked by the Warriors by less than 40 points! David Griffin's seat is getting warm as Lebron is crying to save his career path to be better than MJ (not happening) and is looking to cheese in another vet. You can throw Lou Williams into the wild, whether its Byron, or Luke, but basketball gods keep having fun and giving this 6'2 180 pound shooting guard the powers to put the basketball in the hoop. No disrespect this genius basketball player knows his geometry very well and can angle his way into anywhere on the court. Dude was born with a basketball and hoop in his hand. Playing the hell out of his mind this year 19 ppg off the bench. Dude's nuts. Cavs also get Brandon Bass, a very solid 6"8 tank who can provide solid minutes off the bench with his midrange game and Jose Calderon, a guard they had interest in as of late reportedly by Chris Broussard. Take him sure. Maybe Luke's system just isn't right for him, and he needs a boost. Or maybe not.
Knicks: Phil making Jimmy and Mitch look very good out there! Crawford and Lou Williams do the same things on the court. I wouldn't trade Williams who makes twice less the money for a player that does pretty much the same thing and makes more. Lakers have enough teachers. Having different teachers on the court will not make the Lakers better this season. The young core is learning just fine.
