If Lakers really want to go after George and LeBron next year.

Chicago gets Ingram and Deng

Lakers get LaVine

Sign George and LeBron. Resign Lopez.

Ball, LaVine, George, LeBron, Lopez.

That is a lineup that can compete with Golden State.

Lavine USB actually bad. Just because he has bunnies doesn't mean he is good. BI for Lavine is a horrible trade. Also BI is untouchable.

Wow one salary dump with a player (Russell) that reportedly had maturity issues and lack of professionalism, now people think it's okay to pair Ingram and Deng in a salary dunk? Nope. Don't think it works like that.

George has reportedly told Indiana that he has no plans on resigning and prefers to sign with the Lakers.

Portland is looking to shed salary and is reported willing to include draft picks to do so.

I think there is a trade to be made here. Portland adding George would give them a deadly trio with Lillard and McCullum. It's a risk, but Portland would be a contender sooner than the Lakers.

Indiana would have to take on a bad contract or 2, but getting a couple of 1st rould picks would help out. Gives them flexibility to move up if they wanted to.

Hypothetical trade if Minnesota moves up to 2 and Lakers stay at 3.

LA gets no 2 pick
Chicago gets no 3 pick and D'Angelo Russell
Minnesota gets Jimmy Butler.

No way we give up Russell to live up one spot.

Sorry the Lakers aren't the Chicago Bears.

With Nash out for the year, the Lakers should try to trade him to a team looking for cap or roster space. I think Minnesota could fit that bill. Nash for Barea and Brewer.

Lakers get a decent backup PG and a versatile wing, who can either start or come off the bench.

Minnesota clears up some roster spots as well as some playing time for their young players. Plus, even though Nash won't play, he can mentor Rubio from the bench.

Win win for both.

1.) The Lakers are the best organization in the league. Trading his contract is probably not the right thing to do at this point. We should let it expire and let Nash retire with dignity.

Not one chance Minnesota even considers that trade.

Try posting this on a non-Laker site and see what the reaction is.

No team is going to trade a top 10 pick for Clarkson and junk. And Orlando is going to to give you the 5th pick for the 10th pick out of the goodness of their heart. The would need a really good piece to do that.

And Gordon Hayward is in Utah.

I don't think you can do a sign and trade with a player from another team.

And I don't think Philly would do that deal. Nor will Russell net a top 5 pick.
