If Leonard say he will only play with the Lakers so no other will trade for him. Deng ball and Ingram plus 2 first for Leonard.
Lakers will have about 73 MIL in cap. Sign James and George 30 each. Then rest for Bradley. Use 3 Mil of mle on Noel the other 5 something back up pg Evans will be awesome.

Your trade will not work salary cap wise for the Spurs. Leonard makes $20M. Deng, Ball and Ingram combine make $31.3. Spurs are at $98M. Salary have to match for the Spurs. Lakers no though.
For a Leonard trade to work the Lakers send possible of 3 packages. 1) Deng, Kuzma and a first round pick for Leonard. or 2) Deng, Ingram and first round pick for Leonard and a couple fill in players or 3) Which is probably what the Spurs will want Ingram, Kuzma and a pick. Lakers take on $13M towards the cap then Lakers stretch Deng to make room for the 2 other Max guys.
Lebron James starting salary will be $35M. So the Lakers can't add Bradley unless he takes the MLE which he won't which is why it's important to keep Lonzo Ball anyway. I mean James and George will want Lonzo Ball on the roster.

Lakers Trade Ingram Deng and two first for Leonard.
Have 83 MIL in cap sign George James and Jordan. Use mle on Evans. Use the mini level on Noel. And Tony Allen for much he can get.

Lakers Trade 2020 pick top 7 protected, cavs 2018 pick, and Deng to a rebuilding team for trade exemption and second round pick on draft night. Lakers now have 79 MIL in cap sign James George and Jordan.

First of all no team would take Deng and even if they do Lakers would have to take back salary.
Second of all kuzma doesn't wanna be a 6 man.

Tru99-Lakers aren't getting all 3 of those guys. Lebron $35M, PG13 $30M, Jordan $25M that's $90M. Lakers would have to dump $11M in salary to get all 3. Which Deng and Randle would already be gone to create $79M. I think the Lakers should find an affordable center if Lebron and George sign. Forget DeAndre Jordan. He will cost more than he's worth.
Honk-I agree with your first point. Point 2 Kuzma will be in second year. He couldn't not like to be a 6th man but if the coach wants him as a 6th man then that's where he is. He isn't like IT where he can demand a buyout or leave after the season if he doesn't like it. Also I would hold off on DJ and focus on 2019.

Citydude-I don't like DJ at all and he would be my plan f but Lakers want to contend and he might be an option. As you see my post above you'll see that I have Lakers signing Kevin love in 2019.

Philly gets Nance jr., Deng and Clarkson plus two first round picks top 5 protected.there taking Deng but getting Clarkson and Nance plus two picks they can then stretch Deng after season and make play off push.
Lakers gets booker and reddick.Lakers now have about 80mil in cap after season. James and George 29 each first year with player option. Then sign Jordan 22 MIL first year. Can use mle on Williams.

looks like we are waiting for 2019 F. A so the salary dump probably won't happen unless they are sure they will hit in this years F. A which seems like it not the case.
Better to wait it out and develop young talent and keep picks if we are not confident players in F. A.

Lakers have abandoned the idea of trading Deng. They aren't giving up Clarkson, Nance and 2 first round picks just to dump Deng. Sixers can't stretch Deng cause he wasn't originally signed by the Sixers. Lakers can only stretch him.
Lakers will either stretch Deng or buy him out depending on if Lebron and PG13 come. If Lebron/ PG13 don't come a buy out could happen.

Clarkson and Nance jr for Paul George. Think that's a fair trade because George will be a free agent.
Lakers get Monroe
Suns get Deng and first round pick next available. Then Lakers buyout Monroe. Lakers clear cap to build team and suns are not close to compete so they can afford Deng contract which is half his max so not extremely bad like stat contract was. But getting a first is always good to a rebuilding team.
Lakers have enough cap to add cousins and James. They have George bird rights so they can hold off on resigning George but have a cap hold at twenty mil. That's the whole purpose for trading for George to get his bird rights to go over cap to resign him. So add James 35 and cousins 30. Plus George 20 cap hold and ball, kuzman, Ingram. So that's like 100 mil. Plus have mid level signing for another player like aging Wade.
I will start ball Ingram James George cousins with kuzma and Wade off bench.

Nuge- Yes it can work money wise if the Lakers trade for Leonard. Lakers have enough cap space to sign 2 max contract players this offseason. The cost in trade value to get Leonard is another issue.

That was my point. Leonard makes 20M is 2018 / 19. Lopez and KCP are off the books, so that salary does have to be matched. Let alone what they want for him. That being said, would love to have Leonard. There are A L O T of moving parts here for Palinkz to consider.

Just something to think about but could work. But there's point is if Lakers can trade those 3 players for a star player under the old cap they can sign 3 stars also.
Trade ball, Ingram and Deng plus two first round picks for Leonard. Now Lakers have about 78 MIL in cap. James George and Paul 26 each plus mle on Noel. Especially if warriors win again those players would take 26 each to compete with them. Or the Lakers can do the same package someone else. Ball Ingram and the picks and talking Deng 42 MIl should get you a star

I know what your thinking but sources say Lebron James will not take a discount. Paul George isn't taking one either. Kevin Durant situation is completely different. The Warriors were an established championship team and he had to take less to stay this season. Lakers are not even a playoff team so the Lakers will have to pay to get talent. I know your thinking getting James, George and Paul together. I don't think its wise to get rid of Ball and Ingram just to get Chris Paul whose career is almost over.

Lakers have 62 to spend next year.
If they can dump Deng that will give them 80.
If they stretch him they will have 73.
So either way Lakers can add 2 stars, quality player and have mle. Plus have ball Ingram kuzma Hart Ennis and there some one else to who young. If ball Ingram and Kuzma turn out to be actually stars or borderline stars like snubs they be hard to beat. If can't add stars just take on bad contracts with one year left and get picks and develop youth. In 2019 there Thompson, Leonard whiteside plus others. Thompson and whiteside would fit good with Ingram kuzma and ball.
