Mavs could facilitate the NYK Kuzma trade since KCP may agree to become a Mavs winger to compete for a starting spot:

Mavs could jump in that LAL request for Schröder since KCP may deny to become trade to OKC but may be a 3&D fit in Dallas? Mavs have the trade exception to take KCP and propell the Schröder trade.

LAL: Schröder
DAL: MKG, KCP
OKC: Kuzma
HOR: Lee, 2nd

Since it make a lot of sense:

LAL: Rose, Morris
DAL: Drummond, Snell
DET: Kuzma, Jackson, Brunson, 2x2nd Mavs, Marjanovic, Lee, Cook become released

LAL: Morris get the scoring of Kuzma and Rose push them up!

DAL: Drummond and Snell in a contending team they may rise!? If not is is only for 6-18 month.

DET: Go with the young players Brunson/Jackson instead of Rose/Morris and Kuzma instead of Drummond and more picks and CAP in the summer.

If LAL defeads Mavs in the conference finals I will eat that proposal. : )

Lakers would be better off looking at signing Darren Collison rather than trading Kuzma a young prospect for an aging Derrick Rose and Morris. I also don't see the Mavs giving up all that for Drummond who can opt out of his contract this offseason and they are on the hook for Snell's contract. Just doesn't make sense.

The Lakers ...

Since probably Irving will really sign in Brooklyn to have is own team and to try a frist ring with the young core Lakers may target Walker as PG and it would may a lot of sense.

So Dallas goes young and offer Russell a max, maybe Brooklyn wants a trade exception in a sign & trade.

So Mavs go young in a crazy future:

1: Draft Day
1.1 Since Boston want to exchange some of their 1st picks:
- Boston: Jackson, future 1st
- Dallas: #20

1.2 Cleveland rebuilds:
- Cleveland: Lee (release), #37
- Dallas: J.R. (release him)

1.3 Detroit is stack in CAP and need scoring on the backcourt to allow Jackson, Griffin to win:
- Detroit: Powell and a C at #20, Hardaway (& young wing with their #15)
- Dallas: Drummond, Thomas

I think it is a win - win, Mavs get a perfect partner for Porzee and Detoit 2 wings and 2 centers.

2: Free agency:
2.1 Sign (and trade ?)
- Brooklyn: 14m trade exception
- Dallas: S&T Russell 5y max
2.2 Sign Oubre and overpay him to lure him away from Suns.
- Dallas: Oubre Jr. (2+1y 60m)
