The Dalton Knecht dillema has a dark side. Y get traded but then y need to go back?
Since Hornets still want to execute the trade and they have traded for Nurkic, maybe LAL and CHA agree on the to swap the players but LA keeps a pick - because Williams has health issues not mention.
Hornets have trade for Nurkis and get two young wings - Lakers a Center also if it may only short term or backup.

The deal can't be modified because the failed physical happened after the trading deadline so the deal either stands or gets rescinded. The Lakers decided to rescind it. There is a lot of unknowns. We do not know if the Lakers would have negotiated a lesser package to get the deal done. We don't even know what the other issues are with the physical. Don't know the long term future of Mark Williams would be. Remember he only played in a very minimal amount of games in his career so there had to be something major for the Lakers medical staff to fail him.
