Ok all the people saying trade for Paul George right now are people who are inpatient and don't realize the situation. Someone explain why we would give up valuable assets and young talent to get PG13. He will probably come to us in a year when he is a FA anyway. It´s not like if we get him now we are a championship team. We should wait it out keep the young guys. PG13 wants to come we don't need to trade for him. We keep the pick, D´angelo ingram randle and clarkson. Be smart like why give up young developing guys for him if we can sign him anyway

I do agree with you the Lakers shouldn't give up valuable assets for George now. There is a however which is if the Pacers accept Clarkson, Brewer and someone else I say do it. Which is a lower end offer. Why Clarkson? Lakers will have George at max salary and if they trade for him now then the Lakers can sign another max player in 2018. With George then Clarkson won't get the amount of minutes like he is use to. If they wait then all they can do is sign George. Keep in mind Randle is due for an extension.

Teams don't sit around and say "well I'll see how these young players develop before I trade for a prime player" ala Wiggins for Love, Buddy Hield for Cousins. Believe it or not, a lot of GMs don't like losing which is what the Lakers will be doing the next two years if they keep all these players together. It'll be a waste to have a losing record in the 2018 season and not have a lottery pick that you guys love so much.

Lakers cap situation. they won't be able to keep all their young players anyhow. Trade them before people realize they are or aren't that good. Doesn't matter what I say though, Magic has a winning mentality and wants to compete unlike fans who rather be a lottery team than a playoff team because they're too scared of being competitive in the west.

If the LAkers trade for George and start to win more, will you be mad? NO! Can't believe fans wouldn't want to get better. George is only 26! He's in his prime and it's not like the LAKers will be trading ALL the young players. Chances are, they don't keep all their young players together anyways ala OKC. This isn't a core of Towns-Wiggins, Embiid-Simmons. They're all expendable. Only reason Golden State was able to keep their guys is because Curry was always injured. Wasn't much of a market for him and they didn't have to pay him much given his ankle history! this allowed for better cap management.

GM- We have gone over this before. You bring up examples of teams looking to win championships. The Lakers are 3 to 4 years away from that. Adding Paul George for say Russell, Randle and Clarkson doesn't guarantee success. Magic has said he wants to add a star to the existing team. Yes if the Lakers can get Paul George for say Clarkson, Brewer and something else do it but to trade 3 pieces means they have to pay in free agency for parts. Look at the Pacers roster. They couldn't even win a game in the playoffs. Stop blaming Lakers fans thinking they want to lose. No fan of the Lakers wants them to lose. They want them to play smart and be productive. Get this draft pick in which could be Lonzo Ball and see how it goes. Lavar Ball his father said the Lakers will make the playoffs next year with Lonzo as the point guard. let's just see what happens. I do believe Lonzo Ball can make the existing team better.
If you watch Magic Johnson interviews he states that he is looking at 2018 class in free agency. Cousins, Westbrook, George, and Thomas will be available. let's be real ok. Griffin and Paul are resigning with the Clippers. Hayward is either resigning in Utah or joining the Celtics, Lowry is probably going to the Spurs not to mention Curry and Durant. So the top free agents aren't coming to LA this year to help George.

Remember Dwight. he left after a year. Everyone said he wanted to be in LA. Also Kevin love and cousins weren't going to be free agents the year after and those teams were in positions to win, while the lakers as we've established are years away.
