I think the way for us to get a free agent is to have a trade done for Beal or Davis.
For Davis I think we have the best package in the league if we throw in the whole young core
Davis for #4 pick ball Ingram kuzma and hart
That is a better package than anything Boston or New York can offer.
Then sign Irving or butler

Now if we trade for Beal
Beal for #4 pick Ingram and kuzma
Sign butler
Obviously I would rather have KD or kawhi but I just don't see it happening

If we sign beal we don't need butler then need a pf like horford or morris so LBJ goes back to natural position.

I like that idea giving up the young core for Anthony Davis is also like to see if they would trade rondo and Magee for Dwight Howard for a bench center for Anthony Davis.
