For the Lakers to get Davis via trade without matching contracts is this off season. Lakers can only give up 4 first round picks which 1 the 2019 pick has to be drafted first due to trading the 2018 pick already.

If you been following the league you would know that several small market teams are upset that the Lakers are trying to form a super team or multiple star players. We have to see how things go this off season if the Pelicans will even trade Davis let alone to the Lakers. If Davis demands a trade then the Pelicans will entertain offers. This off season Davis could sign that max extension and its over.
