Lakers get Allen Crabbe, the Hawks unprotected 2019 first round pick, and the Nets 2019 second round pick

Hawks get Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Brandon Ingram

Nets get Kent Bazemore

The Lakers move two talented young players who have been misfits on their roster. Crabbe is an expiring contract, meaning the Lakers will have even more cap space next summer. The Hawks pick will put the Lakers in the Zion Williamson sweepstakes, and the Nets pick is a solid additional asset. Josh Hart can move into the starting shooting guard role with Crabbe as his backup. Lakers create more cap space and more assets in this deal.

The Hawks unload part of Bazemore's contract with the expiring deal of KCP and they bring in a legit young talent to complement Trae Young in BI. Those two would serve as the foundation of the Hawks going forward. BI should thrive from being in a situation where he can play a big offensive role.

The Nets typically look for convenient trades to upgrade the roster. This deal costs them a second round pick, and they turn Allen Crabbe into a younger and better Bazemore. Kent has another year left on his deal, and will come off the books in 2019 when Brooklyn should be in position to actually attract talent.

Crabbe has a players option that will be exercised by him so his contract is not expiring. Williamson is projected to be much better than Ingram so Hawks wouldn't do that. Lakers will only trade Ingram if they get all star level talent in return.
