Spurs don't want to deal with the Lakers so this trade would be out because of that for one. Yes Pau Gasol could retire with the Lakers 2 years from now on a minimum contract. Also if the Lakers trade for Gasol they will be out of the running for a Max player next summer. This deal would happen between the Spurs and the Hornets. Not including the Lakers.
