So we trade Ingram, Clarkson and 2 firsts for a player they is a free agent this year and can leave. Am I missing something?

The Pelicans are not going to trade Cousins after a half season and a few games. Plus Cousins is a free agent and the Lakers can look to sign him outright without giving up a promising young player (Ingram) and a PICK.
