I love this trade for the Lakers. JC is about all he is going to be, and it's a heck of a salary dump to get us ready for the 2018 FA class.

Why add yet ANOTHER PF, (Randle, Bryant, Nance, Kuzma) . There's a logjam already. Arthur doesn't help. Mudiay is a turnover machine and not a reliable shooter. Lonzo needs shooters around him. And I doubt Mudiay's future is a backup PG. he will build his stock back up this year.

Clarkson's ceiling is peaking. He is a sixth man and everyone knew that from the jump. He has a tradeable contract but he is reliable at what he does and isn't constantly injured. He's still fairly young and can play. I don't see why fans want to trade him. He's great for this team.

I guess you don't understand the concept behind "Salary Dump" and getting Superstars to play in LA. $12MM is too much to pay for Clarkson and his selfish play.

I think it would be better if we gave a little more and give Cleveland mudiay because they need a backup PG more than us and we need a SG Which Cleveland would already have so we'd get Murray.

Laker Love- For a salary dump to work the Lakers need to take back the same amount of salary and the contract would have to be expiring. The trade that was proposed by espn33 doesn't work cap wise for the Lakers. Lakers can't dump Deng and Clarkson who have $30M total next season for $8M worth of players to teams that don't have that much cap space or over the cap.

Laker Love - I don't think you understand salary dump. Trading clarkson, a future first, and Denver is not a realistic salary dump. Clarksons value is not high enough to attach to anything except the exchange of a second or another player. Dumping Clarksons salary with a future first will set the Lakers back. Clarksons productivity at 12M is good and does not do any harm right now.

Not as much as Deng at 30+ making 18M per. You would need to at least attach Randle and a future first to get rid of Deng.

Love the idea of jumping in on a 3 team trade if we can get Murray and dump deng without giving up ball or Ingram jump on it.
