Just think, Portlands weakness was always the backup point guard. Yes they get a down grade a two the 2 spot but not by that much. They stil lget a solid 2 guard that's can hit 3sand defend a lot better than mcCollum. And they get a solid backup point guard that can give them 16-20 any night.

The pelicans would be the team that is hard to persuade for this trade. Yes they would lose one of the best players in the league, however Davis has trouble staying healthy and they cousins that they can build around. And I personally think a team of Holiday McCollum and Cousins would be a more successful team than Holiday, Davis and Cousins

And than obviously with Davis coming to LA would give us a star to help attract other stars and create a be with Dynasty in LA.

Pelicans aren't trading Davis and the Blazers aren't trading CJ McCollum. Blazers have rejected 3 offers for McCollum already. Based on what I have seen from Summer League I think Ball and Kuzma the way they are playing will attract other stars to come.

Ya lakers got to give more for that deal to work it would take a lot for those teams to move those guys but I could imagine anything trades happen out of the blue if guys r unhappy and even more likely because if you aren't a top team in the west you have no chance of really doing anything special within the next couple of years both of those teams are hanging around the 8th seed purgatory which is sad because they'd be powers in the east.
