Lakers would make a mistake trading the pick for anyone other than a star. Why they would want to trade back confuses me. The only scenario I can think about is if the draft plays out like this:
1. Fultz - Celtics
2. Fox - Lakers
-----------
Lakers/ Suns (who want Fox)/ Magic
LAKERS - Gordon, 4th pick
SUNS - Fox (via Lakers), Deng
MAGIC - Randle, Bledsoe
------------
3. Jackson - 76ers
4. Ball - Lakers (via Suns)

Lakers/ Nets
LAKERS - Lopez
NETS - Mozgov, Clarkson

PG: Ball/Mills*/Ennis*
SG: Russell/Mclemore*/Nwaba
SF: Ingram/28/Brewer
PF: Gordon/Nance/Black
C: Lopez/Zubac

* = sign

I say when 2018 comes around, try flipping Ingram and Russell for Anthony Davis. This opens up spots for PG and LBJ if they want to play.

PG: Ball/Mills/Ennis
SG: George/Mclemore
SF: James/28
PF: Gordon/Nance
C: Davis/Zubac

You have officially seen my "dream" lineup

There is another scenario though. Say the Celtics pick Lonzo Ball. The Lakers could be happy with Fultz, Jackson or Fox with Ball off the board. Who has the most value Fultz. They could select Fultz and trade it to either the Sixers or Suns for the 3rd or 4th pick + a 2018 pick. Will that happen? No. I agree the Lakers will make the pick and stay but look at a scenario coming away with say Jackson + a Suns 2018 first rounder.

I wouldn't trade Randle

Send Clarkson, Mozgov, Nance 28th pick for PG13
Draft Jackson.

Zanin: you are undervaluing George and overvaluing Randle, Clarkson and Nance.

Prime Paul George is not worth 6th man Clarkson, role player Nance, out-of-date big man Mozgov and a 28/ 30 first round pick. That's not happening. Any trade involving George will either involve Russell or Randle or both. Randle is good but his potential is limited.

Randle is 22, Magic Johnson didn't even have a jump shot at 22 look how he turned out, Randle is no were near that but he is the only one who has a go double double machine plus his passing is geting better and that's all ya need from your big forward
PG13 is 27/ 28 like most players he will be past his best at 32 that's 4 good years
Only get PG13 if he signs up in 2018 don't trade youth.
