Im not sure where you got the 2 picks and 3 players claim from. The Pistons would get the #2 pick and a future 2nd rounder along with Clarkson and Mozgov. Are you trying to say that's too much for Drummond or not enough? We would be getting rid of 2 of our 3 highest paid players (with 3 years left on their deals) and 2 picks (one of them probably being in the high 40s) . If the Lakers could draft Drummond with the #2 pick, they would. If they could erase Mozgov's contract by giving up Clarkson, they would. The Pistons have been shopping him and Reggie Jackson since last season's trade deadline.

Drummond is overpaid. He is going to make $24M next season and due an average of $26M over the next 4 years. Lakers need cap space not another overpaid center and need expiring contracts. Second Drummond is not worth the #2 pick and the Lakers aren't trading it.
