-If Cavs want Wade and they want to clear up cap space, Kevin Love played himself out of high value and the Lakers can take in his contract without CLE having to take back a lot of money:
CAVS/ LAKERS: Julius Randle, rights to the 2018 pick if possible (Lakers draft for Cleveland and then send him to them in round 1) for Kevin Love

PG: D'Angelo Russell/ Clarkson
SG: Loul Deng/ Lou Williams
SF: Brandon Ingram/ Jerebko/ Brown
PF: Kevin Love/ Nance Jr/ (Auguste)
C: Timofey Mozgov/ Black/ Zubac

(Sign Jerebko (1Y) / Waive Young)
~~~~
2017 give Westbrook the max -- more to offer with fellow UCLA teammate in Love and I'm assuming the young core has a really great 2017 season too (Russell: 17/ 6/ 5, Ingram: 17/ 3/ 6, Clarkson: 14/ 3/ 4 off the bench)
PG: Russell Westbrook/ Clarkson
SG: D'Angelo Russell/ Williams
SF: Brandon Ingram/ Deng/ Brown
PF: Kevin Love/ Nance Jr/ (filler)
C: Timofey Mozgov/ Black/ Zubac
• This team is just as talent as GSW, experience with Dlo and Ingram would be the only reason they can't prosper
• Love returns to natural form aka the best stretch four in the league in Luke's system
• Small ball lineups with Deng at 3, Ingram at 4, Love at 5 are deadly.
Honestly, for me, I don't want to mess with the young core, love is good, but he isn't good enough to get rid of the young talent we finally have. That's just my opinion tho.
seriously- it's just Randle. You act like I suggested gutting the entire team and adding Love now makes a stronger case for Westbrook in 2017 unless you are fine with striking out on free agents. The true core is Russell-Ingram. Adding a pair of stars in Love and Westbrook with them and the Lakers are in a great position.
01Lakers- First Randle has the potential of being just as good as Kevin Love. He isn't there yet and needs development. Now if the Cavaliers want to salary dump there is a charge for that. Kevin Love & a Cavaliers first round pick for Nick Young would be a fair salary dump charge. The Lakers get Kevin Love and have him there for Russell Westbrook to come and the Cavaliers dump something like $16M in salary. Why would the Lakers or any team for that matter want to take on a struggling Kevin Love and his salary just so the Cavaliers can get richer with Wade and Lebron together. If Wade and Lebron want to play together they should take less money then.
No tardes. Keep the young core together. I wonder if we should try wade tho. I would pay him 25 x 2 easily. He is a great player, adds experience and he would fit perfectly.
I really don't see why all this love for this young core especially Randle. He plays no Deposit can't shoot but whatever. If they can trade mozgov and a pic for Cousins do it. I'm not big on Love but if LA can get him with or without trading Randle do that. I wouldn't trade Ingram nor Clarkson especially for Westbrook. You got to realize no FA went there because they see no talent so you got to make a trade getting someone to draw better players
@ city dude / Potential is a touchy word because not every player reaches it. Please take a moment to take off your "I love losing" glasses and realize why Kevin Love has been struggling. Did you watch the 2012-2014 Heat at all, when Lebron minimized Bosh's versatility and talents? Lebrons play makes big men float on the perimeter and takes away their post play and mid range. Love in a free flowing Luke system will thrive. Randle will never be the shooter Love is and that's even if he reaches his potential. Love has natural talent you can't teach. Even if Lebron takes a pay it, mr. know-it-all, Cavs only have 3.4M in space and cannot sign any additional players.
01Lakers- I don't love to see the Lakers lose. Development is part of the game and can take years to get the chemistry put together. We already did quick fixes with Dwight Howard and Steve Nash. Where did that lead us? First round exit and the Nash being injured. Now your saying Randle will never be the shooter Love is. True however he can still develop an outside shot that can be good enough for the team. Got to remember we have Ingram & Deng now that can provide outside shooting. The main thing we need from Randle is rebound, good defense and drive to the basket. I am not downing Kevin Love's game. He is a good player especially if he is put into a situation where there is no 2 star players that demand the ball. The problem is I wouldn't give up young core assets of the Lakers for him just so the Cavaliers can make a super team. Yes that is correct if Lebron made $28M and Wade made $3.4M it would work. Either Lebron and Wade made $15M each to play together or give up Kevin Love for Nick Young. Buy Nick Young out. Renounce JR Smith and that is how the Cavs free up say $20M. Then the Cavs will have enough to give Wade a $20M salary and make Lebron happy with his salary as well.
