Sign Durant, Derozan, and Horford

Resign Clarkson

Trade Williams and Nance for Gibson

Draft Simmons. If Simmons is not available then draft the best available player.

So the Lakers will have

Guards Derozan/Russell
Forwards Durant/Randle
Center Horford

Off the Bench
Clarkson
Gibson
Simmons (or the first rounder)
Young
Brown
Black
Bass

People may ask why Clarkson off the bench? Well if Derozan is signed can't have Derozan, Clarkson and Russell starting so one will have to come off the bench. Second Williams would be traded in this lineup so the Lakers would need that spark off the bench.

hgraham - Salary cap is going up to $90 million so there will be enough room for all 3 players. In fact its right on the money.

my other issue is why would you want russell and derozan in the backcourt? both are below-average defenders. derozan hasn't been able to so that he can consistently shoot the 3 which makes him inefficient. horford is v.good but offers avg. rim protection. if you're going 4 offensive minded players you need a solid rim protector.

I look at there overall game and what they bring. Yes they are all 4 offensive minded players but Derozan does pass the ball and shoots a decent 3. Defense he brings is an upgrade to what the Lakers have already. Horford is a decent defender. You get what is out there on the market who can help the most.

derozan's stats 15/16

21.4 pts, 4.2 rebs, 4.3 ast, 0.9 stl, 0.3 blk

.435 fg% .832 ft%, .219 3pt fg%

I like derozan, i'm glad he's improving but he's inefficient scorer who needs to add a 3pt game. He got the potential to be a star in the league, but at the moment he's more like rudy gay.

Your questioning if you would want him on the Lakers? He is an allstar who would be opened to coming to the Lakers. He can score 20 to 30 points any given night. That's an efficient scorer. Lakers have an issue getting off to slow starts all the time. So this corrects that.

As far as the defense he give decent defense. Not superior but decent. With Randle, Bass, Horford, and (Gibson in trade) those guys would work the defensive end more so. I mean each player has there strengths and weekness. I just don't believe he isn't that bad of a defender to pass him up in free agency.
